MYBS offers both spring and fall programs for grades 1-6. Players are combined by grade to create teams. 

 
Grades 1/2
The focus of this division is learning the fundamentals of softball. There are scrimmages at this level but no games or travel. Players will come together at Wheelock on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Times will be TBD at the beginning of the season.
 
Grades 3/4 (minors)
This division participates in the Metrowest Girls Softball League. Games are played Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm during the spring season and Saturday afternoons at 4pm during the fall season.  There is typically a practice at the field prior to the game. Additional, optional practices are planned by coaches. This is a travel league with Medfield, Millis, Medway, Holliston and Ashland participating. There are no tryouts or  "A" or "B" designations for this division, teams are created by grade coordinators. Players in this division will continue to learn the fundamentals and rules of softball and be introduced to pitching and catching during games. 
 
Grades 5/6 (majors)
This division participates in the Metrowest Girls Softball League. Games are played Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm during the spring season and Sunday afternoons at 1pm during the fall season. There is typically a practice at the field prior to the game. Additional, optional practices are planned by coaches. This is a travel league with Medfield, Millis, Medway, Holliston and Ashland participating. There are no tryouts or  "A" or "B" designations for this division, teams are created by grade coordinators. Players in this division will continue to enhance their skills and prepare to play at the middle school level. 
 
 
Additional programs: 
 
  • U18 Fall Ball: Medfield participates in the Charles River League, a more competitive league ideal for players who plan to play softball in high school.
  • U14 Summer Ball: Medfield combines with Sharon in the Twin Valley Girls Softball League, a competitive league for this age. Games are played in the Metrowest area. 
  • Skills Clinics: MYBS partners with nearby facilities like Next9Up to offer winter/early spring skills clinics to prepare for the season.
